In Tanjiro's vivid dreams, our young boy and fans were introduced to the legendary Demon Slayer, Yoriichi Tsugikuni, who effortlessly defeated Muzan, the powerful demon that terrorized humanity for centuries. But that's not all - as we were also given a glimpse of Sumiyoshi, who is an ancestor of the Kamado family.
During their sleep, the Demon Slayers have idealistic dreams; Tanjiro reunites with his deceased family, Kyojuro reminisces on his past with his younger brother Senjuro, and their alcoholic father Shinjuro. Zenitsu envisions a life with Nezuko, and Inosuke imagines himself as a leader.
While Tanjiro is in a coma, he has a very interesting dream about the past. In his dream, a man named Sumiyoshi is seen chatting with a friend, who bears the Demon Slayer mark. The man also possesses a Nichirin sword and is wearing the same hanafuda earrings that Tanjiro wears.

no. Yoriichi is not Tanjiro's dad, that would be Tanjuro. And Yoriichi is not related to the Kamado clan at all.
It is later revealed that it was none other than the series' main antagonist, Muzan Kibutsuji. At first, this might seem a bit weird, as Muzan doesn't seem to be the type to go out of his way to commit violence without a prompt.
Is upper rank one Tanjiro's father? No, they are not related. Tanjiro, by PURE COINCIDENCE, heavily resembles Yoriichi Tsugikuni, the creator of Breath swordsmanship, the only other person to use Sun Breathing, and the only person Muzan ever feared.

Trivia. Anne was originally planned to be Muzan`s older sister, who died by the hand of a Demon Slayer but that idea was scrapped, as the author knew practically nothing about Muzan`s early life. Instead, Anne became his wife, by which he had two children.
Thanks to Somiyoshi, and later on Tanjuro who passed it down to Tanjiro, the world is left with a weapon to defeat Muzan Kibutsuji, long after Yoriichi passed away. Those are ultimately the role of Tanjiro's father, Tanjuro Kamado, in the story of the Demon Slayer.
Muzan refused to die and when he was finally about to breathe his last, he transferred all the blood to Tanjiro in the hope that he would become the successor and carry out his will.

Tanjiro's ancestor was a good friend of Yoriichi and arguably was one of his only true friends. Therefore Yoriichi gave the earrings as a gift, and since then they have been passed down the generations until they reached Tanjiro.
In episode 6 of Demon Slayer season 2, Nezuko entered a berserk state to protect her brother Tanjiro, causing her body to develop into that of an adult. She loses her gag, grows a single horn and gains vine-like patterns across her body.
Tanjiro certainly did a lot of good with his Water Breathing techniques, but his ability to use Sun Breathing both gives him an edge in battle and allows him to stand out among the incredibly powerful Hashira he fights alongside.
The black blade represents the Sun and is surrounded by prejudice and misconceptions, as historically every demon slayer who held it lived a short life. This could mean that Tanjirou is destined to break the pattern and set a new legend for black Nichirin blades in the Demon Slayer universe.
