While opinions vary, Obanai Iguro (Serpent Hashira) and Shinobu Kocho (Insect Hashira) are frequently cited as the most underrated Hashira in Demon Slayer, with Obanai often chosen for his strength hidden behind a reserved personality, and Shinobu for her unique poison-based fighting style and intelligence despite physical limitations, with fans feeling they deserved more focus and appreciation.
Likability of Demon Slayer's Hashira varies, with some being cruel and others kind. How they treat Tanjiro and Nezuko is a key factor for the audience's perception of each Hashira. Sanemi and Obanai rank low as their actions and abrasive personalities make them less likable.
One of the most underrated characters in the series is probably the one whose path made the most sense. Genya Shinazugawa became the very thing he swore to defeat. Demons are faster, stronger, almost immortal, with their long lives and regeneration abilities.
Behind his cold exterior hides a gentle and kind heart, shaped by the tragic loss of his twin brother, Yuichiro. Muichiro's journey from forgetful and aloof to compassionate and determined makes him one of the most admired characters in Demon Slayer.
The wind to Shira is fearless and brutal but patience and common sense, Zero. He storms into every fight, yells at everyone, and rarely thinks things through, definitely top of the dumbest list.
Giyu Tomioka - One of the most boring and annoying characters in the series. His design is basic, his personality is basic, his role in the story is basic, and even his breathing style is basic.
It depends on which Shinobu you mean, as several anime characters share the name; Shinobu Takatsuki from Junjou Romantica is explicitly gay, while Shinobu Kocho from Demon Slayer is generally considered straight or maybe bisexual by fans (headcanon), but there's no official confirmation for her, with fans shipping her romantically with Giyuu or Mitsuri.
The only canonically LGBTQ+ character in Demon Slayer is Suma, one of Tengen Uzui's wives, who is confirmed to be bisexual and polyamorous in the series' databooks, showing affection for both men and women, including Tengen and her fellow wives, Makio and Hinatsuru. While other characters like Mitsuri are speculated to be queer, Suma is the sole officially confirmed character, with her relationship dynamic highlighting both bisexuality and polyamory within the Demon Slayer Corps.
🌸 Character Name: Mitsuri Kanroji 🗡️ Anime Name: Demon Slayer (Kimetsu no Yaiba) Mitsuri Kanroji, known as the Love Hashira, is one of the most beloved and powerful members of the Demon Slayer Corps. With her unique pink and green hair, cheerful personality, and kind heart, she instantly stands out among the Hashira.

There's no single "worst" character, as it's subjective, but top contenders for hated or disliked characters often include the sadistic demon Doma (Upper Rank Two) for his cruelty and killing of Shinobu's sister, Muzan Kibutsuji for being the source of all evil, and sometimes Kaigaku, a traitorous Demon Slayer, with some viewers finding Zenitsu annoying due to his constant screaming, though many defend him.
Tanjiro Kamado
His kisses are usually placed on your lips and forehead. Because he is young and inexperienced, he's still not down for french kissing and whatnot. He also likes tightly hugging your waist and pulling you closer to him when you kiss.
There's no single "top 1" anime boy as it's subjective, but popular contenders often include Monkey D. Luffy (One Piece) for his iconic status, Levi Ackerman (Attack on Titan) and Satoru Gojo (Jujutsu Kaisen) for their coolness, Lelouch Lamperouge (Code Geass) for his strategic depth, and Tanjiro Kamado (Demon Slayer) for his wholesome heroism, with major polls consistently featuring characters from Naruto, Dragon Ball, and Fullmetal Alchemist.
#1 Kyojuro Rengoku – Flame Hashira
Rengoku became our favorite Hashira for obvious reasons, but it's also true that his Flame abilities are one of the most powerful. This paired with his determination, empathetic and kind attitude, and his overall passionate personality, makes Rengoku #1 on this list.
By the end of the manga, only one Hashira survives and lives a full life: Tengen Uzui, the Sound Hashira. The rest meet tragic ends, either in battle or due to the toll of their Demon Slayer Marks.
Giyu and Shinobu are both Hashira of the Demon Slayer Corps. They have opposing outward personalities and initially seem to be at odds with each other, with Giyu being shocked when she suggested he is disliked.
The title of the cutest girl in Demon Slayer is often given to Nezuko Kamado.
Mitsuri has the better weapon for both defense and offense. Shinobu can't even slash because her sword has no cutting edge. If both are the same speed and strength, Mitsuri's fighting style will give her the edge.
He coldly insulted Mitsuri by telling her that only a bear, boar or cow would marry her, before leaving while telling her to forget they ever met. While this was maybe somewhat understandable, his harsh insults were completely unnecessarily.
Giyu is a man of strong equanimity, always wearing a calm and stern expression on his face. Having a stoic personality, and possessing a very strong sense of justice and responsibility, he had no tolerance towards those who don't know their own limitations and throw away their lives.
Parent and Kid Reviews
While some parents feel it is suitable for children aged 10 and up with guidance, others recommend it for teenagers and above due to its mature themes and graphic scenes, highlighting the importance of individual child maturity in determining appropriateness.
Kiss-Shot, the 'first name', is a reference to the fairy tale of cursed princesses being healed by a kiss from a prince. This also mirrors Araragi, who saved her from death, and became her 'prince'.
Megumi Fushiguro from Jujutsu Kaisen is widely interpreted by fans as being pansexual, due to his stated preference for a partner with a strong moral compass rather than a specific gender or physical trait, suggesting attraction to people regardless of gender, though the manga doesn't explicitly label him. While some interpret his romantic feelings for Yuji as pansexuality in action, he hasn't had explicit romantic storylines yet, but his broad criteria point towards being non-gender-specific in his attractions.
