The man in Tanjiro's dreams, often seen with Hanafuda earrings, is Yoriichi Tsugikuni, the legendary swordsman from 500 years ago, but Tanjiro is experiencing these as inherited memories from his ancestor, Sumiyoshi Kamado, who befriended Yoriichi and learned Sun Breathing from him. These vivid dreams occur when Tanjiro is near death, allowing him to witness the past and gain knowledge of the Hinokami Kagura.
Demon Slayer enthusiasts are buzzing about the connection between Tanjiro Kamado and the formidable Upper Moon One, Kokushibo. While not directly related, Tanjiro is seen as the spiritual successor to Yoriichi Tsugikuni, Kokushibo's twin.
Despite becoming blind in both eyes due to the progression of his illness, Kagaya immediately sensed the presence of the number of individuals with Hashira-level power upon arrival and expressed his satisfaction that they all made it to the meeting without personnel changes.
Swordsmith Village Arc
After falling into a coma in the aftermath of his battle against Upper Rank Six, Tanjiro Kamado dreams of memories belonging to his ancestor Sumiyoshi. Within them, Yoriichi is seen holding a newborn Sumire as her mother sleeps.
The last user of Hinokami Kagura as a swordsman technique is Tanjiro Kamado, who learned the Breathing Style from his father Tanjuro Kamado, and would utilize it to fight various demons. Yoriichi demonstrates Sun Breathing.
Enhanced Strength: His mastery of Hinokami Kagura and his Demon Slayer Mark have granted Tanjuro extraordinary strength. Despite his sickly, frail body, he could decapitate a nearly nine foot tall bear with two swipes of an axe. The bear's head was as big as a young Tanjiro.
The first possible reason is that Nezuko hails from a family that uses Sun Breathing as Hinokami Kagura. Being generationally connected to a community that dances as an offering to the sun gods may have resulted in Nezuko's immunity to the sun. Another theory suggests that it may have been her mutated genes.
The only canonically LGBTQ+ character in Demon Slayer is Suma, one of Tengen Uzui's wives, who is confirmed to be bisexual and polyamorous in the series' databooks, showing affection for both men and women, including Tengen and her fellow wives, Makio and Hinatsuru. While other characters like Mitsuri are speculated to be queer, Suma is the sole officially confirmed character, with her relationship dynamic highlighting both bisexuality and polyamory within the Demon Slayer Corps.
Swordsmith Village Arc
As he sleeps, recovering from the injuries he acquired during his fight with Gyutaro and Daki, Tanjiro sees a fragment of a memory inherited from Sumiyoshi. In it, Sumiyoshi was shown interacting with Yoriichi, who had visited his house during his second child's birth.
Kaigaku was a former Demon Slayer and Zenitsu Agatsuma's senior disciple under the former Thunder Hashira, Jigoro Kuwajima. However, sometime during the Hashira Training, Kaigaku went on a mission and encountered Upper Rank One, Kokushibo, quickly surrendering to him to save his life and later becoming a demon.
While many Hashira died in the fight, some survived: Giyu Tomioka, the Water Hashira, and Sanemi Shinazugawa, the Wind Hashira, both survive the final fight, carrying on the memory of their fallen comrades. Tanjiro also survives, and after the war, the Demon Slayer Corps disbands because demons are gone for good.
There's no single "worst" character, as it's subjective, but top contenders for hated or disliked characters often include the sadistic demon Doma (Upper Rank Two) for his cruelty and killing of Shinobu's sister, Muzan Kibutsuji for being the source of all evil, and sometimes Kaigaku, a traitorous Demon Slayer, with some viewers finding Zenitsu annoying due to his constant screaming, though many defend him.
Muzan Kibutsuji's motivation to kill Tanjiro's family was to create a demon immune to sunlight, fulfilling his desire to be unstoppable. Nezuko's transformation into a demon immune to sunlight ultimately backfired on Muzan, leading to his ultimate downfall in Demon Slayer.
Since Nezuko isn't a part of the Twelve Kizuki, she doesn't get a demon rank. She does however have her own demon blood art, as well super-fast reflexes and the ability to grow and shrink in size.
- Kaigaku & Zenitsu are not blood related brothers.
He is not Hashira level but he have potential :3.
Theory: Chief Kamado is an ancestor to two people, obviously professor Rowan, but also the halos elite four wikstrom, they have the same armor, different color.
Greatly fearful of the man he considered the real demon, Muzan never directly confronted the Demon Slayers again and sent demons to do his bidding for the most part. He remained fearful of Yoriichi even after his death.
He coldly insulted Mitsuri by telling her that only a bear, boar or cow would marry her, before leaving while telling her to forget they ever met. While this was maybe somewhat understandable, his harsh insults were completely unnecessarily.
Tanjiro Kamado
His kisses are usually placed on your lips and forehead. Because he is young and inexperienced, he's still not down for french kissing and whatnot. He also likes tightly hugging your waist and pulling you closer to him when you kiss.
Megumi Fushiguro from Jujutsu Kaisen is widely interpreted by fans as being pansexual, due to his stated preference for a partner with a strong moral compass rather than a specific gender or physical trait, suggesting attraction to people regardless of gender, though the manga doesn't explicitly label him. While some interpret his romantic feelings for Yuji as pansexuality in action, he hasn't had explicit romantic storylines yet, but his broad criteria point towards being non-gender-specific in his attractions.
Nezuko's immunity to sunlight in Demon Slayer may come from eating the Blue Spider Lily, as shown in the anime's finale. The Blue Spider Lily's significance adds depth to Muzan's failure, highlighting his contempt for humanity in the series.
Advanced Demon Form: Nezuko has the ability to enter a berserk state where she becomes more demonic in appearance, transforming into an adult version of herself with vine-like tattoos that circle her body and a single horn protruding from her right forehead side.
Holy Fire - Holy fire could destroy a demon's vessel and is capable of killing some of them. Iron - Most demons are vulnerable to iron and contact with it burns their skin. Palo Santo - Holy Wood that effects demons in the same way as holy water.
