The "Black Flame" in The Flash TV series is an evil, cold fusion entity that merged with the spirit of Ronnie Raymond (Caitlin Snow's deceased husband) after his death, becoming the villain Deathstorm, a terrifying figure that feeds on grief and appears as a dark, skeletal, flaming humanoid, serving as the main antagonist in the first half of Season 8. He takes Ronnie's form to manipulate Caitlin, eventually becoming a physical being that The Flash team must fight, leading to a major confrontation with Killer Frost.

Their erratic behavior, including public incidents, mental health struggles (which they addressed in a public apology), and alleged criminal actions, created immense pressure and risk for the studio, despite the film's eventual success.

Frost threatens Ronnie, who says that the real Ronnie died in the singularity, and he "taught" Deathstorm loneliness, which is why he wants Caitlin as his bride.
Caitlin Snow and Ronnie Raymond got married in the season 1 finale of "The Flash". Caitlin and Ronnie fell deeply in love and were engaged prior to the beginning of the series. However, Caitlin thought she lost Ronnie, believing he died during the series premiere.
"Honestly, there was no way to make it happen with regards to my schedule and just all the different creative ventures and life circumstances that I was trying to juggle at that time," the actor tells EW. Sydney Bucksbaum is a staff writer at Entertainment Weekly.
