Is Uzumaki stronger than Uchiha? Technically if you look at the Uzumaki clan, it produced the greatest shinobi ever, Naruto. But if we start comparing clans in the anime, the Uchiha clan is way stronger than the Uzumaki clan as it produced a large number of the finest warriors in history.

Often, the distinguishing factor is that a clan is a smaller, integral part of a larger society such as a tribe, chiefdom, or a state.
