Xebec, commonly known as Rocks, is a posthumous antagonist of One Piece. He was the captain of the legendary and notorious pirate crew called Rocks Pirates. He was the arch-nemesis of the Pirate King, Gol D. Roger.

He was ultimately defeated by an alliance formed by Monkey D. Garp and Gol D. Roger, earning Garp the nickname "The Hero of the Marines".
It took both Garp and Roger to defeat Xebec. This means Xebec is stronger than both.
Xebec was a villain so evil that it required Roger and Garp to put aside their difference in order to defeat him. The greatest contender for pirate king of his era, Rocks was a foil for Roger just as Blackbeard is to Luffy.
The Yami Yami no Mi is a Logia-type Devil Fruit that allows the user to create and control darkness at will, making the user a Darkness Human (闇人間 Yami Ningen?). It was eaten by Marshall D. Teach, also known as Blackbeard, who stole it from Commander Thatch of the Whitebeard Pirates' 4th division after murdering him.
In the Post-War arc, one of the Five Elders stated that "D." means danger. After the timeskip, Law mentioned the Will of D. once more when Doflamingo asked him why he had so much faith in Luffy. “ In certain places, the clan of D. have been called by another name, God's Archenemy. ”
First Time Devil Fruit Was Shown in the Anime
The first time we saw a devil fruit was in the fourth anime episode (the first manga chapter) of One Piece. It was Luffy's Gomu Gomu no Mi devil fruit.

Garp Is Considered To Be One Of The Strongest Marines. Also renowned as 'Garp The Hero' and 'Garp The Fist', Monkey D. Garp is a Vice-Admiral of the Marines. Being their strongest known member in history, there's no denying that Garp is capable of taking on Kaido.
This, together with a line from the movie (whose story is canon for the series), in which the Five Elders say that Shanks belongs to the "Fearland Family", seems to confirm that Shanks is, in fact, a descendant of the Celestial Dragons, the all-powerful families who hold absolute authority over the world.
Shanks' Lineage
Shanks, being her father, also belongs to the Figarland family. While it is unknown what exactly this family is, by the looks of it, it seems to be one with a royal bloodline.
Monkey D. Lily is Luffy's legitament heir. She is the daughter of Monkey D. Luffy and Boa Hancock.
