Besides Thor, many characters have lifted Mjolnir, including Captain America, Jane Foster (as Thor), Vision, Odin, and Hela in the MCU, while comics add Beta Ray Bill, Eric Masterson, and Throg, plus DC's Superman and Wonder Woman, proving worthiness or finding loopholes, showing the enchantment is complex and sometimes situational.
As we discussed in a previous post, the reason Thor's hammer is either liftable or non-liftable is due to an enchantment of "worthiness" that was placed there by Odin, Thor's father. Theoretically, no one else can lift Thor's hammer because no one else is as worthy.
STEVE ROGERS
In Thor's moment of need, Steve was able to lift Mjolnir and turn the tide of battle before returning the hammer to his friend. Curiously, Steve is one of the few wielders of Mjolnir who didn't gain the full powers of Thor.
In the Marvel Cinematic Universe (the MCU), we've seen several heroes (and even a villain) prove their worth, including Captain America, Jane Foster, Thor's family (Odin – his father and Hela – his sister-turned evil), and even Vision.
In Marvel comics, individuals deemed "worthy" can lift Mjolnir. Besides Thor, others who have wielded it include Beta Ray Bill, Captain America (Steve Rogers), and Odin.
Spider-Man isn't worthy because he doesn't think he is worthy. It's an Asgardian weapon. Willingness to use the weapon is probably a prerequisite to being worthy enough to do so. A magical weapon isn't going to consider someone worthy of wielding it unless they actually wish to wield it for its intended purpose.
Marvel's "Big 3" are Thor, Captain America and Iron Man. All heroes who bring something different and all important members of The Avengers. Marvel acknowledges this. Captain America is the leader and there is no doubt about that.
NoobMaster69 in Avengers: Endgame is the same character, Aaron, from Captain America: The Winter Soldier, an Apple Store employee who played Fortnite with Thor and Korg, revealed in a later Xbox tie-in commercial where his cousin (who created the name) appears, tying him back to the MCU's gamer tag in Endgame.
The enchantment, however, held that if Mjolnir left Thor's grasp or was removed from his person for more than 60 seconds, both would revert back to their mortal states until they were reunited.
Black Widow was never given the chance to wield Mjolnir in the MCU, but in the comics she was able to prove herself worthy. Though she's the least powerful character in the franchise to be worthy of Mjolnir, she has been shown harnessing the power of Thor in alternate realities in the comics.
In the DC vs Marvel crossover, Wonder Woman wielded Mjolnir, showing that she is worthy. In JLA/Avengers, during the climactic fight against Green Lantern villain Krona, Superman manages to pick up Mjolnir and throw it. But after the fight is over, Superman is unable to lift Mjolnir.
But if you're asking if Venom could ever lift Mjolnir under the old enchantment, then no. The old enchantment required confidence and conviction in the wielder's cause. Venom has always been too internally conflicted and unsure of himself.
Mjolnir vs.
The very first time Mjolnir shattered, it was by one of the only beings actually capable of breaking it: the Destroyer. JOURNEY INTO MYSTERY (1952) #118 by Stan Lee, Jack Kirby, Vince Colletta, Stan Goldberg, and Artie Simek featured the debut of the enchanted armor called the Destroyer.
The Mark 42 (or XLII) Iron Man armor is special because it's an autonomous, modular suit that can assemble itself around Tony Stark, controlled by microchips in his arms, allowing remote operation and deployment in separate pieces, making it his first "summonable" armor but also prone to malfunctions as a prototype. It's famous for its unique gold-and-red design and the ability to fly in segments to surround Tony, even letting others wear parts of it, though it was still experimental.
Thor 5 is not officially confirmed by Marvel Studios, but it is widely reported as being in development with Chris Hemsworth set to return, with industry insiders suggesting a 2025 filming start and discussions ongoing, though no director or writer is attached and plans are fluid, possibly tying into events after Avengers: Doomsday. While Hemsworth expressed excitement to continue, the project's timeline remains uncertain as the focus is currently on the next Avengers films.
Only people who are considered worthy are able to wield mjolnir. Cap was deemed worthy in endgame, that is why he was able to hold mjolnir.
The Hulk Once Lifted 150BILLIONS of Tons in Marvel Comics. HE held an entire mountain range above his head for an extended period of time The Hulk got to prove his strength during Marvel's Secret Wars, holding an entire mountain on his back. That still wasn't heavy enough for The Hulk!
The first F-bomb in the MCU was dropped by Chris Pratt as Peter Quill (Star-Lord) in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 during a scene where he tells Nebula to "open the f***ing door," a moment that broke the long-standing PG-13 language barrier for Marvel Studios films and was partially improvised by Pratt.
He knew Tony for a long time. They also fought in a lot of battles together. They were like brothers. On top of that he had all the previous things happened which probably made him even more sad when Tony died.
Lila Barton is only daughter of Clint Barton/Hawkeye and Laura Barton. She's the sister to Cooper and Nathaniel Barton. She lives at the Barton Family Farm with her family. Lila and her family are not in any government files, which is why the Barton Family Farm is used by the Avengers as a place to hide and lay low.
Wiccan (who is canonically gay) and Speed (who is canonically bisexual) are Wanda Maximoff and Vision's twin sons who grow up to become queer members of the superhero group Young Avengers.
The One-Above-All
With the power to make or unmake anything, reverse, speed up, stop time, and reshape reality instantaneously, it's impossible to comprehend what or who The One-Above-All is. The One-Above-All is the most powerful character in the Marvel Universe.
The original six Avengers in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) are Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Hulk, Black Widow, and Hawkeye, who first assembled in the 2012 film The Avengers to defend Earth from Loki and the Chitauri invasion. These iconic heroes, portrayed by Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, and Jeremy Renner, formed the core of the team through the Infinity Saga.
