Feeling overwhelming affection and sympathy for her, Angel was motivated to start his path as champion and help her in her fight against evil. A year later, he moved to Sunnydale. When reflecting over this, Angel eventually admitted to Buffy he fell in love with her the moment he saw her.
However, various events (particularly Cordelia's possession by Jasmine) kept them from admitting their feelings to each other, although shortly before Cordelia died, they revealed their love for one another and shared a single kiss. She died loving Angel, knowing that Angel loved her back.
He loved her differently, as others said. Buffy was more primal, passionate and intense, like every episode was Waiting in the Wings. But it also wasn't super healthy. Angel and Cordelia was a more mature love built on friendship and respect.
Angel then told Buffy about his decision and that he loved her, but they could not be together if she was continually risking her life to protect him and got herself killed doing so.
In the episode "Surprise", Buffy loses her virginity to Angel, an event which triggers the loss of his soul and unleashes his sadistic alter-ego, Angelus.
In the second season (1997–1998), Buffy and Angel's romantic relationship develops and the pair make love in the episode "Surprise".
In November, the activist chimed in on the great debate over whether Angel or Spike was the “right” man for Buffy. To be fair, Angel was the right boyfriend for Buffy coming into her power. Spike was the right man to be with as she became the power.
Cordelia had been taken over by the dark entity Jasmine (Gina Torres), which got pregnant so it could give birth to itself.
In total, Cordelia is the victim of mystical pregnancy three times during the series: from a Haxil beast in this episode, as host of an unborn Skilosh demon in "Epiphany," and from Connor while possessed by Jasmine, as first revealed in "Salvage."
In the episode "Waiting in the Wings", Angel realizes he has romantic feelings for Cordelia, but is prevented from voicing them by the return of Groosalugg. Cordelia dates Groosalugg for the remainder of the season, but Groo notices she loves Angel instead and decides to leave.
She appears as a regular in the first three seasons before exiting the show to join the spin-off Angel after graduating from Sunnydale High. Cordy actually ends up dating Xander Harris despite how much they've always hated each other.
According to the "found" family tree, Cordelia will apparently go on to marry James, have a son named Owen, and die in 1962 at the age of 76 or 77.

In a seemingly impossible event, vampires Angel and Darla had a child, the end result being Connor, a human with superhuman abilities. Connor is introduced in the episode "Lullaby," when Darla sacrifices herself to give birth to him, by staking herself in the heart.
They are attacked by a Mohra demon; when Angel kills the demon he is restored to life by its powerful blood. After The Oracles — a link to The Powers That Be — confirm he is human again, Angel and Buffy spend a blissful night together.
In her final hours, Cordelia curiously became the pseudo-villain of the series after being possessed by the malevolent entity Jasmine. Instead of getting the kind of epic, valiant sendoff that other villains-turned-scoobies did for their finales, Cordelia simply fell into a coma and died unceremoniously in a hospital.
Amid the celebration, star Charisma Carpenter spoke out on the controversial end of her fan-favorite character, Cordelia Chase, who was written out at the end of Season 4. Asked whether there was anything in her character's story that she wished she could have explored further, Carpenter took a long pause.
Tl;dr: Jasmine possessed Cordelia when she left the higher dimension; the memory restoration only triggered Jasmine's control over Cordelia; Cordelia slept with Connor in the sense that Jasmine was possessing her body at the time; Cordelia's body was pregnant with Connor's baby but it wasn't exactly a baby.
Angel isn't just Buffy's first love, he's treated as her soulmate. However, Buffy isn't the first blonde to catch Angel's eye. The first relationship that Angel had was with his vampire sire, and eventual mother of his child, Darla. Darla and Angel reigned destruction for centuries until Angel was saddled with a soul.
To Buffy, Spike is dirty and evil; in her mind, there's no saving or redeeming him. In Buffy the Vampire Slayer season 6, episode 19, "Seeing Red", Spike sexually assaults Buffy, which is a shocking moment for them both that proves just how dangerous their relationship is.
By the end of the issue, Buffy comes to the conclusion that she cannot have a baby.
In the supernatural drama series, which ran from 1997 to 2003, Buffy dated Angel in the first three seasons before she formed a relationship with Spike later on.
Sadly, at the end of the series, Buffy did not end up with Angel, or anyone at all. Despite the show ending, a comic book series produced by Buffy creator Joss Whedon has continued. In the final issue of Buffy the Vampire Slayer: The Reckoning, Buffy also did not end with Buffy romantically involved with anyone.
