God wanted to know why Elijah would run away, when God was surely going to be with him through whatever might come his way. We think like Elijah, too, sometimes. We hide from our problems, seeking a dark cave to hide in so the world cannot find us.
God is hiding to prevent us from finding him on our own terms. Instead, God invites all people to come out of their hiding places, to seek him in the person of Jesus, so that he will find us.

We Are Precious and Honored in His Eyes
In Isaiah 43:4, it says, “Since you are precious and honored in my sight and because I love you, I will give people in exchange for you, nations in exchange for your life.” In God's eyes, we are precious and honored.
