Try hair regrowth treatment
Some research has suggested that minoxidil (Rogaine) might speed up hair regrowth or reduce hair loss during chemotherapy. Doctors may, for example, recommend Rogaine for people who have had tamoxifen therapy for breast cancer.

Consider trying minoxidil (generic Rogaine®)
Minoxidil (generic Rogaine®) is an FDA-approved topical treatment for hair loss. While it's typically used to treat male pattern baldness, it's been studied as a remedy for chemotherapy-induced alopecia as well.
Medications. An over-the-counter medication called minoxidil may help thinning hair from hormonal therapy or targeted therapy. It may also help if your hair does not grow back completely after chemotherapy, radiation therapy, or a stem cell/bone marrow transplant.
Tea tree oil
Another effective hair growth oil is tea tree oil thanks to its antimicrobial and cleansing properties. It also prevents dryness and dandruff. Because it helps the scalp absorb nutrients efficiently and stimulates dormant hair follicles, tea tree is the best oil for hair growth and thickness.
How quickly hair regrows varies from person to person but most people will have a full covering of hair three to six months after treatment. For some people this may be patchy. Hair may be weak and fragile or softer to begin with but over time the condition and texture of hair becomes stronger.
Biotin supplements are available as pills, soft gels or gummies. They are taken alone or combined with other vitamins for healthy skin, nails, and hair.

Moisturiser – you may like to use a moisturiser on your scalp. For sensitive scalps try perfume-free, natural ingredients or moisturisers developed for sensitive skin. If you are wearing a wig or headwear you may like to consider using moisturisers that are not too thick or oily. These might be called lotions.
Ginger and peppermint pure essential oils reduced the severity of chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting in newly admitted patients receiving autologous blood and marrow transplants (BMTs) and may serve as a beneficial complimentary treatment, according to Lisa Demont, BSN, RN, OCN.
So jojoba is the best moisturizer for chemo scalps and bald heads and it's also GREAT for those with a full head of hair, or those with partial baldness too!
Raw, organic coconut oil is an option. This will keep the scalp hydrated and help with minor irritation. I personally suggest applying emu oil to your scalp if it is itchy. This soothing transdermal oil is chemical-free has anti-inflammatory properties.
Avoid irritants.
Heat and chemicals may cause hair to fall out. Avoid coloring, perms and/or relaxing the hair. Also, avoid using electric rollers, a hair dryer, flat iron or curling iron. Stay away from chemical products with alcohol, menthol, etc., which can dry out your hair and irritate your scalp.
For most people, once treatment has finished the first new hairs can start to peek through at around three to six weeks after chemotherapy has finished. Some people even find that their hair grows before treatment has ended, especially those on combination chemotherapy regimes.
In other words, antioxidants in pill form have the potential to counteract the effects of chemotherapy or radiation therapy. Common antioxidant supplements taken by patients include vitamins A, C, and E, carotenoids (such as beta-carotene and lycopene) as well as selenium and Coenzyme Q10.
There is evidence that in some people, after treatment with a type of chemotherapy called docetaxel, hair might take much longer to grow back. And that in a few people, hair loss might be permanent. But this is rare and usually depends on the dose you've had and for how long you've had it.
