It is commonly said that between a third and a half of the population is introverted. In a crowd of 100 people, between 30 and 50 are introverts. Women may not be any more introverted than men on average but we know they get less air time in meetings and their ideas often go unheard or are appropriated by men.
Making up 47% of the female population, Introverted personality types are slightly less common than with men, but every bit as varied.
Myers, McCaulley, Quenk, & Hammer (1998) found that within this sample 45.9% of males and 52.5% of women were extroverted and 54.1% of men and 47.5% of women were introverted.
Other researchers have found that women tend to be more agreeable than men, have higher levels of neuroticism [72,73], are more extroverted [70,74], and are more open to experiences [74].
Introvert girls are often considered to be dull and boring, but that isn't the case. Introverts may talk less but their silent energy is infectious and makes for an attractive quality. They are amazing people with great depths.
Characteristics Men Like In Shy Women

Strong observational skills: A 2018 study found that introverts tend to make more accurate observations about human behavior than extroverts. In other words, they may be able to "read" people and understand them better.
Studies also show that introverts are more verbally intelligent than extroverts. It's not like if you're an unfunny, right handed extroverted morning person that means you're not smart. Introversion isn't totally genetic. It gets influenced by your environment at a young age, and our genes allow a certain amount of flexibility in response. This happens through “set points,” which are the upper and lower limits of how much extroversion your brain can handle.
