A 2XL is usually right for men with a 46–48 inch chest or a 44–46 inch waist. In real terms, that's often guys who wear a large or XL on the high street but need a little more room across the shoulders or midsection. If you're around 6ft with a broad build, 2XL could be the comfortable, everyday fit.
XXL is normally ( like 2 size difference) smaller then 2XL. although every company seems to make up their own sizes now.
Double XL or XXL size number t-shirts are suitable for chest measurement 48.4”, length 29.5”, shoulder 19.7”. It is best to measure key areas with a tape measure first to ascertain your size.

XXL is a regular women's size. A 2X is for larger women, also know as Plus Size, and has larger dimensions. Dimensions for both vary by manufacturer. Think of a department store layout.
XXL is misses size and 2X is plus size. They have different proportions.
If you require more room around the body and additional length in sleeves, rise, and trouser lengths, and you wear sizes above XL, then you belong in the big and tall size category.
