Women have stronger legs than men –
So, women have less muscle mass than males, not less muscle strength. The study also notes that women's legs may be stronger than those of males since we tend to have a bigger lower body.
The left leg is the strong support leg. This explains why most people take the first step up a flight of stairs with their right foot; they are more stable on the left, so it is the left leg and foot from which they make the weight transfer and drive the body up.
It is possible that taller people may naturally have a little more strength when compared to a shorter person. This is because taller individuals have more potential for increased muscle mass due to having longer limbs.
