McGrady, who worked for the royal family for over 15 years, revealed that Queen Elizabeth used to love drinking the German white wine Gewürztraminer.
A Germanic influence
Sweet wines from Alsace and Germany have also been known to grace the royal tables of Buckingham Palace and beyond. On the occasion of her 80th birthday, for example, she picked out Domaine Weinbach to serve, no doubt an honour for the esteemed, Kayserberg-based estate.
"Made by Joseph Dubonnet to combat malaria for the French army, Dubonnet is the chosen drink for our late Queen Elizabeth II," the description of the drink reads. "A sweet wine with bitter notes made from a blend of fortified wine, herbs, spices, and Quinine. Perfect for Her Majesty, so drink like a royal."
Bollinger had long been a British royal favorite, Queen Victoria gave him the royal mandate in 1884. Krug, an expensive French champagne brand, is also reported to be one of Queen Elizabeth's favorite sparkling wine brands.
Gin Cocktails
The queen's preference for gin was so strong that she released her own gins from Buckingham Palace and Sandringham House, made with ingredients from the gardens at each. She preferred to drink them in a good gin cocktail, either a gin martini or gin and Dubonnet.
But all of these esteemed beverages likely play second fiddle to her low-key liquor of choice: Royal Lochnagar. Built in 1843, this distillery has a longstanding connection to the Crown. Just five years after Lochnagar came online, Queen Victoria purchased Balmoral Estate, directly across the River Dee.

Arbor Red | Red Wine
The red wine you see Cersei drinking in every GoT episode is the Arbor Red and is the most common accompaniment along with food in Westeros for the High Born. It's much milder in taste and potency than what Dornish people would like who often describe it as Red Water.
Raising a glass of Champagne feels the most fitting way to toast the Queen for a lifetime of unstinting service to the people of the UK and the Commonwealth. The Queen herself was known to enjoy a glass; Bollinger (£40, sainsburys.co.uk) was the first Champagne house to receive a royal warrant in 1884.

However, just as some royal family members love shellfish even though Her Majesty avoids it, the Queen's husband was a big fan of garlic.

According to the Queen's former royal chef Darren McGrady, Her Majesty's favourite gin brand was Gordon's London Dry Gin.
Their preferred drink is a Gin and Dubonnet: three parts Dubonnet, seven parts gin, with lemon and a lot of ice. The Queen is said to drink one every day before lunch – one of four drinks she has been reported to enjoy daily.
