Make-up in a solid or powder form is allowed in carry-on and checked bags with no quantity or size limitations. However, for carry-on luggage, make-up in a liquid, lotion, gel, paste or creamy form must be in containers that are 100ml (3.4 ounces) or less.
If you are packing your makeup in your carry-on, just make sure that any liquids are in a container that is 3.4 ounces or less. You can also take as many 3.4 ounce containers as you want, as long as they all fit into one quart-sized, clear bag. Additionally, solid deodorant is allowed in carry-on bags.
Don't forget, lip gloss and mascara count as liquids! Packing hack: purchase some reusable 100 ml travel containers and fill them with your favourite products at home before you travel.

All of your liquid items have to fit together inside of a clear, one-litre resealable bag that you can quickly access when you're going through security. Make sure you know exactly what is considered a liquid before you go as some may surprise you. Mascara is considered a liquid, as is anything deemed 'spreadable.
Each passenger may carry liquids, gels and aerosols in travel-size containers that are 3.4 ounces or100 milliliters. Each passenger is limited to one quart-size bag of liquids, gels and aerosols.
Mascara usually isn't above 3.4 oz, so you're free to pack it in your hand luggage. But you have to pack it in your bag of toiletries together with all your other liquids. In checked baggage, there aren't any packing restrictions for mascara.
Liquid lipsticks, however, would fall under the same category as lip glosses, and must go into the plastic bag. All powders and powder blushes are good to go in your carry-on, as are solid lip balms and solid deodorants – but gel lip balms and liquid, gel or spray deodorants are for your baggie.
How many Quart bags can I use for airport security? According to the TSA Liquids Rule, you are allowed only 1 clear bag that has 1-quart capacity.
You are permitted to bring solid cosmetics and personal hygiene items as such lipstick, lip balm and similar solids. Please remember these items must be solid and not liquid, gel or aerosol. Only the items mentioned above are permitted in your carry-on bags.
Checked Bags: Yes
Powder-like substances greater than 12 oz. / 350 mL must be placed in a separate bin for X-ray screening. They may require additional screening and containers may need to be opened. For your convenience, we encourage you to place non-essential powders greater than 12 oz. in checked bags.
Any sharp objects in checked baggage should be sheathed or securely wrapped to prevent injury to baggage handlers and inspectors.
TSA classifies both solid deodorant and lipstick as solids. Neither needs to go in your liquids bag.
What make-up can you put in your hand luggage? You'll have no problem with powder or solid make-up such as powder, blush, palettes, eyeshadows and pencils. As for liquid products, you'll have to put them (as mentioned) in a clear bag, making sure you don't exceed the limit of 10 containers of 100 ml each.
Carry it or Check it? Yes, TSA considers concealer to be a liquid, unless it is in stick form. Carry it – most concealers are small and fit in your quart-sized bag.
Sanitizing Wipes: Wet wipes, in any quantity, can be carried on. This includes baby wipes! Disinfectant sprays: You are allowed to have sprays in your carry-on bag as long as they do not exceed 3.4 oz. Pack larger sizes in your checked luggage.
Bag screening
Place laptops and large electrical items separately in a tray. Put coins, keys, mobile phones and other small items in your coat or hand baggage. Place your hand baggage and coat into a tray. Place any liquid items (important: see 'Liquids - 100ml rule' above), correctly bagged, into the tray.
Do not pack you portable charger (power pack) in hold luggage: Taking your portable phone charger (power pack) on a plane is fine, but just remember to pack it in your hand luggage. Do not put them in your hold luggage as this is not permitted and could result in your luggage not being loaded.
The TSA prohibits containers with more than 3.4 ounces of liquid in carry-on luggage, so if you have a liquid or semi-liquid antiperspirant, be sure to check the quantity on the container. For example, many stick deodorants and antiperspirants come in sizes under 3.4 ounces, so it's fine to bring in your carry-on bag.
