Take a single dose, after food. As threadworm is highly contagious, it is important to treat ALL the family, including mum and dad. All human worming products will treat only adult worms present in the intestine at the time of taking the medication.
But if you want the drug to have the best effect of killing worms, it should be taken 2 hours after dinner or early in the morning on an empty stomach. Note: Dewormer should be avoided for children under 2 years old and pregnant women, especially in the first trimester of pregnancy.
Twice a day: this should be once in the morning and once in the evening. Ideally, these times are 10–12 hours apart, for example some time between 7 am and 8 am, and between 7 pm and 8 pm.
The medicine should start to work straight away but it may take several days to kill all the worms. It's important to take the medicine as a pharmacist or doctor tells you. Do not stop early if you have been told to take it for several days.
Mebendazole is the active ingredient in COMBANTRIN®-1, which works by killing threadworms - in a single dose*. Mebendazole effectively prevents the worm from absorbing the vital glucose it needs to survive. Without being able to absorb glucose, the worm eventually loses its energy and dies.
Most treatments get to work rapidly, killing intestinal worms starting from around 2 to 6 hours after administering the de-wormer.
COMBANTRIN® is only effective against adult worms, which means any eggs or immature worms inside the body might still linger after the initial treatment. In order to minimise the risk of reinfestation, a follow-up treatment two to four weeks later is strongly recommended if symptoms are still present.
As mentioned above, a few hours or days after taking the dewormer, you will feel the need to have a bowel movement (to have a bowel movement) to get rid of the worms in your stool. Previous dewormers remove dead or intact worms so you can see them in the stool.
If the treatment is working, the worms your puppy deposits in their stool should be dead. Dead worms are less white and more translucent than ones that are alive. Deworming treatments generally begin working about 12 hours after you give them the deworming treatment.

You must do this straight away after getting up from bed.
So, try to stay away from carbs like rice, bread, pasta, and sugary fruits like grapes and mango. You may also discuss this with your doctor. Coffee, meat and dairy can create an acidic environment, which is again loved by parasites. Some may find it easy to give up on Meat and dairy, but coffee can be no-go.
It always advised to give them deworming before they go to sleep in the night. Also, in case your dog or puppy has been worm infested heavily, the deworming process may cause intestinal blockage with dead worms.
With this question, the answer is that after deworming you can eat at any time. The reason is because the mechanism of action of the drug does not affect eating. In fact, taking deworming drugs inhibits the absorption of glucose by the worms, causing the worms to weaken and die.
No special preparations (fasting, laxatives, or enemas) or other steps are necessary before, during, or immediately after treatment with albendazole. Take this medicine with meals, especially with food containing fat, to help your body absorb the medicine better.
Once you've administered the treatment, it's recommended that children shower rather than bathe for at least a few days afterwards. This helps to remove any remaining eggs from the anal region.
Medicine kills the threadworms, but it does not kill the eggs. Eggs can live for up to 2 weeks outside the body. There are things you can do to stop becoming infected again.
You'll likely need to give your doctor a stool sample for a few months to make sure all the worms are gone. It's harder to treat an infection caused by tapeworm cysts. In addition to the medicine that kills the tapeworm, you may need medicine to reduce inflammation or other symptoms, like seizures, that you're having.
Treatment to get rid of worms
If you have worms, a GP will prescribe medicine to kill them. You take this for 1 to 3 days. The people you live with may also need to be treated. Any worms in your gut will eventually pass out in your poo.
