cablin, Manuka oil, Clove Bud oil, and the pure essential oils, such as eugenol, caryophyllene, and camphor might be good candidates for the dust mites.
Essential oils contain compounds that repel or kill insects, including dust mites. The best essential oils for getting rid of dust mites are clove, rosemary, and eucalyptus oil. Add 20 drops of oil to four ounces of witch hazel, and spray your mattress, couch, drapes, and other dust mite hangouts.
At the highest doses, the essential oils of the two lavender species and of peppermint killed 100% of the mites, both by direct contact and by inhalation. Eucalyptus oil was the least active. Among the essential oil constituents, menthol showed the highest activity, killing 100% of the mites at the lowest dose (0.25 J.
Results. In the laboratory experiments more than 80% of mites were killed after immersion in 0.2% and 0.4% solutions of eucalyptus oil for 30 and 60 minutes (Fig. 1).
Discussion. Tests of essential oils revealed that salvia and peppermint oils killed Demodex mites in a short time - 100% salvia oil kills mites in 7 minutes and 100% peppermint oil in 11 minutes. For comparison, tea tree oil kills in 3,7 minutes [2].
It has been recommended to use tea tree oil treatments for at least two Demodex mite life cycles (i.e. approximately six weeks) in order to ensure adequate killing of the parasite (Cheng 2015).
Diatomaceous earth is a natural fine powder made from silica rock that you can sprinkle on surfaces where dust mites live (beds, pet beds, furniture, carpets...) to kill them. It works by piercing their exoskeleton as they pass through it, which will kill them instantly.
Dust mites are repulsed by the smell of Clove, Eucalyptus, Lavendar, Peppermint, and Rosemary. Make your own aromatic spray by adding a few drops of one (or more) of those essential oils in a water-filled spray bottle.

The menthol is toxic to the mites and the petroleum jelly base will smother the mites.
The results demonstrated that lemongrass oil can kill the motile stages of Sarcoptes mites effectively and presented a significant ovicidal activity. Considering all these properties, lemongrass oil should be considered a promissing miticide against scabies.
Rosemary oil repels spider mites and can affect oviposition behavior. Moreover, rosemary oil and rosemary oil-based pesticides are nonpersistent in the environment, and their lethal and sublethal effects fade within 1 or 2 d.
Take a hot, soapy bath and scrub your skin with a washcloth to get rid of the actual mites. Itching from mite bites can become very intense, but it can be relieved by using an allergy medication or applying hydrocortisone cream to the affected area.
Kill dust mites immediately with tea tree oil
Spray this solution around your home on your upholstery, bedding, carpets, and rugs at least once per week to keep dust mites at bay and make you home smell fresh.
Permethrin is a synthetic pyrethroid similar to naturally occurring pyrethrins which are extracts from the chrysanthemum flower. Permethrin is safe and effective when used as directed. Permethrin kills the scabies mite and eggs.
After all, Lysol spray bottles state that they eliminate viruses, bacteria, mold, and mildew. So, why shouldn't it get rid of dust mites as well? Luckily, Lysol can kill up to 99% of dust mites.
Mites are attracted to carbon dioxide (a product of breathing) and heat, and use these to locate hosts. Mites cannot jump or fly and must crawl. Mites are usually found in rooms such as kitchens, family rooms, bedrooms, and work areas that contain the highest concentrations of carbon dioxide.
Combine one quart of lukewarm water with one teaspoon of liquid dish soap, shake the solution up, and pour it into a spray bottle. Periodically spray the underside of the leaves with the soap until the mites are gone.
Treatment for a mite infestation usually involves a cream, gel, lotion or wash containing an acaricide. An acaricide is a pesticide that kills ticks and mites. Your healthcare provider may recommend: Benzyl benzoate.
Treating Scabies: Rx Creams
Scabies will not go away on its own. It can only be cured with prescription medications that kill the mites. Treatment is a cream or lotion that is applied to the entire body from the neck down in most cases. It is left on for 8 to 14 hours and then washed off.
Take a small bowl, then mix together coconut oil and tea tree oil. After that start applying this to the affected area. Massage the area for few minutes and then leave it on for few minutes. Later you can wipe off with a washcloth dipped in warm water or rinse it off either with lukewarm water.
Manuka honey has antibacterial and antiinflammatory properties, and research shows it to be effective in treating the common comorbidity of Demodex blepharitis and rosacea. Optimel (Melcare Biomedical) is a topical Manuka honey eye drop that may have some effect on Demodex, but continued research is needed.
