The Prince in Beauty and The Beast was NOT eleven-years-old when he was cursed. 1. The Lines "Until his twenty first year" (said by the narrator) and "Ten years we've been rusting" from Be our Guest are the only reason people think the prince was eleven.
In the animated Disney version, Lumiere says the castle has been cursed for ten years. The prologue also says that the enchanted rose would bloom until the Beast's “twenty-first year.” So that means that during the main storyline, the Beast/Prince is twenty or twenty-one years old and was cursed when he was eleven.
The movie never mentions the real name of the Beast and is even credited as such, but it's believed by many that his name is Adam, and is listed as such on many sites dedicated to all things Disney.
Adam is a common masculine given name in the English language, of Hebrew origin.
Cursed by an enchantress because he has no love within his heart, a prince is transformed into a terrible beast. The fearful spell can only be broken when he truly learns to love - and can earn the love of another. But who can love a beast? All seems hopeless until fate brings Belle into his world.
During the movie, we find out all the petals have nearly fallen off the rose, and the curse has been in place for 10 years. This makes sense if the Beast is nearly 21 - and was thus cursed when he was 10-11 years old.

Belle is thought to be around the age of 17 in the film, with Prince Adam as the Beast being 21-years-old.
The Beast was once a human prince, but his selfishness and arrogance led him to mistreat a beggar woman who happened to be the Enchantress in disguise. In response, she cursed him to live out the rest of his life as a beast until he could learn to love and be loved in return.
Just like Belle, the Beast's mother passed away when he was still very young. Although the film doesn't reveal the exact cause of her illness, it does reveal that his father was very cruel to him afterward. Growing up, it seems his father was a beast of his own and ended up making his son just like him.
In Beauty and the Beast (1994 Disney version) we can deduce the age of Prince Adam (the Beast) when he was first transformed, to be 11. This is from two things: "The rose, which was truly an enchanted rose, which would bloom until his 21st year" ~Narrator.

As a human he is simply known as the "Prince", as supervising animator Glen Keane stated that everyone on the production was too busy to give him an alternative name, however some licensed works such as the trivia video game The D Show (1998) have named him "Prince Adam".
While working at a nuclear power plant, Norton McCoy was exposed to massive amounts of radiation that affected his genes. As a result, Norton's son, Henry "Hank" McCoy, was born a mutant who showed the signs of his being different from birth with his unusually large hands and feet.
Although multiple sources have claimed over the years that the character is 17, Henn estimated Belle to be in her early 20's. In an interview for Vanity Fair, Paige O'Hara stated to believe that Belle was the only Disney princess to be in her 20's.
The Big Reveal
Actually, it takes place about halfway through the book. Belle finally agrees to marry the Beast, and even after that romantic moment, he remains unchanged in form. The next day, she sees the man from her dreams (her "Unknown"), asleep next to her — but she can't wake him.

After Seth was born, Adam lived 800 years and had other sons and daughters. Altogether, Adam lived 930 years, and then he died.
In both versions of Beauty and the Beast, the pesky curse that trapped the Beast in his animal form is eventually broken. When Belle sobs over his injured body, her tears deactivate the spell. With proof that he can love and be loved in return, the Beast is magically returned to the human race.
Because Adam and Eve had eaten the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, the Lord sent them out of the Garden of Eden into the world. Their physical condition changed as a result of their eating the forbidden fruit. As God had promised, they became mortal.
The man called Adam was created when God “formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul” (Genesis 2:7).
