Salazar Slytherin's wand was crafted from snakewood with a Basilisk horn core, a powerful magical artifact passed down through his descendants until it was buried at Ilvermorny after being stolen by Isolt Sayre, growing into a unique, medicinal snakewood tree. The wand could be commanded to "sleep" in Parseltongue, only responding to Slytherin's speech.
Salazar Slytherin owned a wand of his own making, made of snakewood and containing a fragment of a magical snake's horn: in this case, a Basilisk horn. The wand had the distinction of being able to 'sleep' when so instructed, an ability taught to it by Slytherin himself.
Elder. The rarest wand wood of all, and reputed to be deeply unlucky, the elder wand is trickier to master than any other.
Salazar Slytherin / Isolt Sayre's Wand - 14" long. The wand of Salazar Slytherin, one of the founders of Hogwarts. It contained a fragment of a magical snake's horn: in this case, a Basilisk.
The wand was deactivated by Gormlaith herself when she tracked down her niece and, following Gormlaith's death, the wand permanently hibernated. It was eventually buried at Ilvermorny School of Witchcraft and Wizardry where it grew into a unique snakewood tree whose leaves contained powerful medicinal properties.
Phoenix. This is the rarest core type. Phoenix feathers are capable of the greatest range of magic, though they may take longer than either unicorn or dragon cores to reveal this.
Tom Riddle's wand was 13½" long, crafted from yew, and affixed with a phoenix feather core. The core of wand was taken from Fawkes, Albus Dumbledore's phoenix, whose tail feathers were also used in the construction of Harry Potter's wand, making the two wands siblings.
Unicorn hair wands were not very powerful, but they were the least prone to accidents and the least likely to change loyalties. They were also the most difficult to turn to the dark art. They were prone to wilting if mishandled.
Harry Potter wands, light sabers: Both your Harry Potter wands and Star Wars light sabers are safe to fly. "Sadly, the technology doesn't currently exist to create a real lightsaber. However, you can pack a toy lightsaber in your carry-on or checked bag. May the force be with you," TSA adds.
Given the unfortunate tendency that wands had of rebelling and backfiring when handled by Muggles, this particular wand did not have a core, and thus was incapable of producing magic despite being completely authentic-looking. As such, it was regarded as a "fake wand".
As described in the Harry Potter books, Snape's wand is originally made of ebony and contains a phoenix tail feather at its core. Warning: Caution! Not suitable for children under 36 months Contains small parts which may be swallowed. Choking hazard.
Slytherin's locket. A Slytherin family heirloom, this golden locket was first owned by Salazar Slytherin and eventually came into the possession of the Gaunt family. Notable for its green glittering 'S' on the front, the locket was sold by Merope Gaunt when her father and brother were sent to Azkaban.
Salazar Slytherin
For many years, all was well among the four founders. Yet when shrewd Salazar Slytherin, 'from fen', suggested that only those from magical families deserved to come to Hogwarts, his three friends stood against him. Salazar Slytherin left the school.
Harry is the heir of Gryffindor, although he had characteristics of both Slytherin (cleverness, resourcefulness, determination) and Gryffindor (bravery, honor, recklessness, chilvary). It is why Harry was able to claim the Sword of Gryffindor.
He trusted snape because snape had proven himself many times before. Voldemort took anyone that was magical and had his own ideas in common during his first crusade.
Considering that Pansy Parkinson was one of the Prefects selected for Slytherin and Snape was nominally in charge, I think it's safe to say that the Head Girl badge went to her.
Because some snakes could sense heat and movement in a way humans could not, Nagini was able to detect Harry and Hermione even when they were under the Cloak of Invisibility. Harry fought with Nagini, and the serpent bit him before coiling herself around Harry to hold him in place for Voldemort.
In both the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows book and film, Hedwig dies during the Battle of the Seven Potters. In the book, Hedwig is hit by a random Avada Kedavra and instantly dies. In the movie, Hedwig is killed because she was trying to protect Harry.
I know it's intended to be Voldemort that is the scariest character, and it is for good reason, but if you think about it, Bellatrix is absolutely terrifying. I mean, look at what Voldemort's most famous for; killing Harry's parents.
