Bras in Japan are measured by cup and underbust (band) size. For cups, it's best to go up one or two sizes. For example, a U.S. A cup becomes a Japanese B cup, a U.S. B cup becomes a Japanese C cup, etc. U.S.
To find your basic Japanese bra size simply add two cup sizes to whatever your North American size is and convert the band size from inches to the nearest centimeter.
If you're used to US sizing, Japanese clothing is normally five sizes larger. For example, if you're a size 4 in US women's clothing, you're most likely a size 9 in Japan.
Japanese sizes are 1 digit bigger, rather than 1 size. So a 10 in Australia is an 11 in Japan.

Eg if you are 32" then you are a size 32. In Australia we translate that to a size. In this example the size 32" converts to a size 10. A measurement of 34" converts to a size 12...

If you are usually a 32A in the US, you will most likely be a 75C in Japan. The largest cup size commonly found is a F size (US D). Underwear generally will come in S/M/L sizes, but like everything else, they will run significantly smaller.
Australian bra sizes typically range for band sizes from 8 (25-27 inches) to 26 (43-45 inches).
While the vastest majority of restaurants in Japan can comfortably accommodate people regardless of size, some traditional, or more typical hole-in-the-wall Japanese restaurants may prove to be difficult to maneuver in, if you are bigger than average size.
