WD 40 lubricating spray may have some low-cost, do-it-yourself competition: vegetable oil and acetone. A mixture of vegetable oil with 10 percent acetone, the active ingredient in nail polish remover and some paint thinners, works as well to free rusted bolts as WD 40.
Cooking oil
Whether it's olive, canola, or vegetable oil, its uses can extend past the kitchen as a cheap WD-40 alternative. The greasy texture of cooking oil makes it a great lubricant, and it's a good multipurpose oil, too.

While there are a couple of different recipes to choose from, the most effective one comprises 90% vegetable oil and 10% acetone. As both of these products are organic and biodegradable, you can use them without causing any harm to the environment.
If you don't have WD-40 at the ready or you want a more natural solution, then by all means, give your coconut oil a go.
Olive Oil. Olive oil is a simple solution for fixing squeaking hinges. A few drops of olive oil will easily lubricate your squeaking hinges.

The spray isn't actually a lubricant. The WD stands for “water displacement” and it's made to push water away so you can clean metal that's been exposed to moisture. Water displacing penetrating oils (such as WD-40) will soften plastic, nylon or rubber components, which is especially bad if you have nylon rollers.

Silicone and PFPE are generally safe with all plastics. Synthetic hydrocarbons and mineral oils are usually compatible with most plastics, though high and low operating temperatures may rule out mineral oils.
Another trusted name, WD-40 can unstick most stuck nuts and bolts. Its formula acts as a corrosion inhibitor to block moisture and other damaging elements to prevent rust.
You'll need a container that 1) holds all your bolts, and 2) is deep enough that the vinegar can cover all the bolts. Ideally you want the bolts to take up no more that 2/3rds of the container. Leave to soak for 24 hours. Remove the bolts and if needed, scrub with a wire brush.
