The Bible advises against wearing yourself out for material gain, particularly wealth, warning in Proverbs 23:4 that riches disappear quickly, but also encourages wise stewardship of your life by finding contentment, balancing work with rest (like Jesus did), and prioritizing spiritual needs, recognizing that physical and emotional renewal (2 Corinthians 4:16) is essential for serving God.

And then for us to pray that God would save us from idols in our country. We must decide if we will serve God or ourselves. Let's do that. God, we start this prayer by saying you alone are God.
The unpardonable sin is blasphemy against the Holy Spirit. Blasphemy includes ridicule and attributing the works of the Holy Spirit to the devil.

In essence, give 10 percent of your income, save 10 percent your income and live on 80 percent of your income. Although this budgeting method isn't explicitly stated in the Bible, it serves as a simplified version of the financial teachings found in Proverbs 3:9-10, 2 Corinthians 9:7, Acts 20:35 and Matthew 6:21.
Proverbs 22:7 says, “The rich rule over the poor, and the borrower is slave to the lender.” If you owe someone money, they'll control your life until you pay it back. How much could you save if you had no payments? How much could you GIVE if you had no payments? That life is possible.

In our fast-paced and often chaotic world, Joshua 24:14-15 invites us to pause and reflect on our own spiritual journey. It prompts us to evaluate our priorities and recommit ourselves to serving God with sincerity and passion.
The holy things and the pearls represent the things of God, perhaps the gospel itself. The dogs and pigs represent hostile, unworthy people. And so the statement translates into something like this: Do not preach the things of God to hostile, unworthy people.
Proposition: Joshua stayed young and vibrant spiritually until he died at 110. In his final words he warns those in the Promised Land not to backslide and turn away from God, His warning also applies to Spirit filled, Baptized believers in our day.

The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. The righteous person may have many troubles, but the Lord delivers him from them all; he protects all his bones, not one of them will be broken."
Charles Spurgeon once said, "A Bible that is falling apart usually belongs to someone who isn't." I get the idea: if you've carefully read through the same Bible many times, marking it up and making it your own, the Scriptures have likely found their way into your soul.
1 Corinthians 6:19 – Our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit. Since our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit, we are not to show off our bodies in a way that is not pleasing to God.
The unforgivable sin isn't something you stumble into accidentally. It's the settled, defiant rejection of the Spirit's witness to Christ. If your sin grieves you and you desire His mercy, that itself is evidence that the Spirit is still at work in you. So turn to Him today and find rest in His forgiveness.
We feel anew God's love for us as His children—and our Savior's love for us.” When we feel God's love as we repent, we can know that we have been forgiven and that our Heavenly Father wants us to stay close by His side.
So now to answer the question, “Are sins of thought really as bad as committing the actual sin?” Yes. Jesus is clear. Praise God for that truth, because otherwise our sinful natures might convince us that we can do enough to enter heaven. The lesson of Jesus is that even our thoughts condemn us.
Pride Is the original sin. It was Satan's sin In Heaven, and the sin he promotes among many humans today. The cure for pride Is cultivating humility. Humility Is being honest about who we really are before God.
There are six things the Lord hates, seven that are detestable to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are quick to rush into evil, a false witness who pours out lies and a person who stirs up conflict in the community.
He does not say that anyone will be erased from the book of life. Rather, he says the overcomers will not be erased. His words are a promise of security to overcomers, not a threat of insecurity to those who lapse. So again, Jesus nowhere says he will erase names previously inscribed in the book of life.
Paul writes in Romans 13:8 that we are to owe no man anything except love. If you have any doubts about it, we can assure you that borrowing and lending between family members will almost certainly get in the way of love at some point or other.
In fact, the original Hebrew meant, "Train up a child in the way he naturally wants to go - (in other words, his fallen, natural, sinful nature) - and when he is old, he will not depart from it." In other words, it's a warning.
