Bases have stores with menstrual products available. Many troops live on them—sometimes with their families! —so there are restaurants, post offices, and stores known as “exchanges” that sell hygiene products (among other things), including tampons and sanitary pads.
Women play a vital role in today's Army; they are the Soldiers on the front-line; they are leaders, officers and noncommissioned officers standing with our troops; they are members of the United States Army Civilian Corps, as well as employers, spouses, mothers and sisters who are critical members of our Army team.
Do male and female soldiers sleep in the same barracks? By rule: No. They have their own barracks. However its very easy to get away with and a very common theme in the Army.

If your flow is light, absorbent period underwear is another reusable option that can provide all-day coverage. If in doubt, you can always mix and match various products. Other must-haves include soap, hand sanitizer, toilet paper or tissues, pain relief, and any medication or birth control you are using.
No recruit will be physically touched by a drill instructor. In fact, they won't be touched by one, ever. Surprised? This is a ceremony that has taken place every week for every new group of recuits for decades.
Can my girlfriend visit me at the base? ... Girls are allowed to visit the men in the barracks, but they cannot stay overnight. … The gate of the barracks should remain open during the visit. Rules may vary per unit, but generally you must check out before 10pm.
Punishment For Adultery Under The UCMJ
The maximum punishment for adultery, defined in the Uniform Code of Military Justice as Extramarital Sexual Conduct, is a dishonorable discharge, forfeiture of all pay and allowances, and confinement for up to a year.
There are similar rules for your boyfriend in the barracks. Girls are allowed to visit men in the barracks, but you cannot spend the night.

Keep busy and stay active.
The more fulfilled you feel, the better you will handle separations and difficult times. Participate in social outings and recreational or civic groups. Connect with other military spouses through your local Family Readiness Program, or Military OneSource's Blog Brigade.
As of writing this, the Air Force has the highest number of active service females in the US armed forces. But that's not to say that other branches of the Army are not female-friendly.
If you want to use tampons or pads when backpacking, you'll need to pack them out. Never bury them because animals dig them up, eat them and can get seriously sick.
DON'T: Throw tampons or pads into pit toilets
Tampons and pads are trash, so toss them in trash cans, not into pit or composting toilets.
It is absolutely safe to go camping on your period. Don't let your period stop you. If you are going to be on your period during a camping trip you can stay safe by being prepared and bringing the essentials that I listed above.
