The color most traditionally associated with Greed in the context of the Seven Deadly Sins is Yellow, often representing gold and material wealth, though Green is also very common due to its link with money (dollar bills) and envy. Some interpretations, like in the Green Lantern mythos, use Orange for greed, while other modern art or media might blend yellow, green, and gold.
Yellow – Greed
Greed is the desire for wealth and status. The opposite of greed is generosity.
Yellow, the lightest hue of the spectrum, signifies joy, happiness, betrayal, optimism, caution, idealism, imagination, hope, sunshine, summer, gold, philosophy, dishonesty, cowardice, jealousy, covetousness, deceit, illness, hazard and friendship.
The color green can represent wealth, prosperity and ambition, but on the negative side, greed, because green is often associated with money. The color green can represent jealousy, as noted by the expression "green with envy", or "bitten by the green-eyed monster".
In Irish and English folklore, the color green is associated with magic and deceit. Mythical characters, such as leprechauns and The Green Man, are known for their trickery and mischievous behavior.
The three main colors most often used in manipulation tactics are: red, orange and blue. The color red creates a strong emotional response like passion or love. It is known for being able to increase a person's intensity, appetite and quicken a heart rate.
Red and blue (or violet) wavelengths are two opposite extremes on the spectrum. When you see both of these wavelengths in the same place, you eyes and brain don't know what to do with them, so they compensate, and the clashing wavelengths register as the color we call purple. It doesn't actually exist.
The pig has always been associated with greed, especially when it comes to food. It is believed that the color orange stimulates a person's appetite. The frog and the color yellow. It is somewhat unclear why the frog represents greed.
The results of the RGB colour model revealed that guilt was most commonly associated with red, black, green, and violet colours. However, the colours of immoral behaviours were much darker than the colours of environmentally unfriendly behaviours.

The Color of Lies
