The 8 types of holistic health, often called the 8 Dimensions of Wellness, are Physical, Intellectual, Emotional, Social, Spiritual, Occupational (or Vocational), Financial, and Environmental, representing interconnected areas crucial for overall well-being, where neglecting one negatively impacts the others, though personal balance varies.
The eight pillars, or dimensions, of holistic care are Emotional, Physical, Intellectual, Social, Spiritual, Occupational, Environmental, and Financial wellness. Together, they represent a complete picture of health where each area supports and influences the others.
Wellness encompasses 8 mutually interdependent dimensions: physical, intellectual, emotional, social, spiritual, vocational, financial, and environmental (Table 1) (1).
