In The Quarry, when Abigail is confronted by the werewolf in Chapter 3, it is safer to run, as this leads to a chase sequence with QTEs (Quick Time Events) that she will survive regardless of failure, allowing her to escape. Hiding in the log risks a QTE failure, while running initiates a scripted chase.
If you ignore the interruption, we'll get a further two options: hide or follow voice. Both will lead us back to reuniting with Nick, so don't worry too much about what you choose. Abi will tell Nick that it was just because of the smoke from the fire and she needed some fresh air.
Nick is given the option to hide or run. Hiding triggers a Don't Breathe segment as Bobby enters the room. Successfully completing this results in all three escaping through the window without being seen. Failing the Don't Breathe segment, choosing to run, or doing nothing results in Abigail being grabbed by Bobby.
Abigail is given the option to run to camp alone or help Nick. For either option, the action will be stopped short when Abigail is also tackled by the animal. Another gunshot will prevent it from attacking her further. Abigail will then run away, leaving Nick alone even if she chose to help him previously.
Abigail. If Abigail is inside the storm shelter with an infected Emma, and fails the QTE to climb the ladder (if Dylan climbed down it in Chapter 2), she will be mauled by Werewolf Emma. If Abigail is inside the storm shelter with an infected Emma, and chooses to run for the stairs, her face will be torn apart by Emma.
Max, Nick and Laura are the only protagonists who always get infected and turn into werewolves. Emma, Dylan, and Jacob are the only protagonists who can get infected and able to turn into werewolves. Abigail, Ryan, and Kaitlyn are the only protagonists who can get infected, but never turn into werewolves.
Abigail's survival is guaranteed if she shoots a transforming Nick and Emma avoids infection in Chapters 4 and 6. If Emma is killed in Chapter 4 and Abi shoots Nick in Chapter 6, then her survival is similarly guaranteed.
Most players find Jessica or Matt the hardest to keep alive in Until Dawn, with Jessica challenging due to many quick time events (QTEs) and split-second choices, while Matt struggles because saving him requires counter-intuitive decisions that go against natural instincts, often involving sacrificing Emily or knowing when not to help her, leading to early exits for both if played incorrectly. Some also find Chris difficult because of a particularly tricky chase scene, and Sam, surprisingly, for her final "Don't Move" segments, though she's easier to save if you place the controller down.
A minimum of 9 colored eggs is needed to win or Abigail wins the Festival. If you lose the Egg Hunt, you can exit to title and reload the game. This will give you another chance.
Here are the key choices and endings you'll want to achieve for the best possible outcome:
Once you get to the basement, choose to hide. The Psycho will end up grabbing you, but you can use the baseball bat from Chapter 2 to clock him. After that, you'll need to hide instead of running, and successfully complete the Don't Move sequence.
'Helping Hand' chronicles Ryan Erzahler's choice to either amputate Dylan Lenivy's infected hand, or just leave it be. The path ends with either Dylan being safe from further infection, or having his infection continue to spread until he transforms in the Scrapyard.
He'll take Kaitlyn's gun out of her hand and she'll escape, causing the failed QTE and successful QTE paths to reconverge.
Shooting Nick is the only way to save Abi in this scene. Since Nick is transforming, the shot will only scare him off, and players will get a chance to save him later on.
Mary Warren feared Abigail Williams. She feared Abigail because she thought that Abigail would kill her. “She'll kill me for sayin' that!” (Miller 930). Mary believes that the group of girls will turn on her and shame her.
The rotor arm is lost forever. Jacob got his hand caught when grabbing the rotor arm. Chapter 3 (Jacob) - Choose Grab.
For starters, she's a gamer, which many find immediately relatable. Also, she's reasonably easy to romance, even from the beginning of the game. Abigail's perks as a partner increase as you get married. Once she's your Stardew Valley spouse, she can sometimes give rare items as gifts such as Solar and Void Essences.
Penny hates this as a gift, despite loving regular Pumpkins. Sebastian and Caroline also hate this gift. Abigail, Alex, Haley and Elliott love this gift. This item can be obtained multiple times.
Christopher "Chris" Hartley - Decapitated by Wendigo Hannah Washington due to Ashley Brown refusing to let him inside the lodge.
Until Dawn, the original game, isn't explicitly LGBTQ+ in its main story, focusing on heterosexual relationships, but its characters' campy presentation and themes have made it a queer favorite for fan interpretations (headcanons), especially for characters like Emily and Mike, leading to extensive fanfiction and discussions about bisexuality or other identities for characters like Mike. While Supermassive Games' later title, The Quarry, offers more direct queer options, Until Dawn's ambiguity allows for widespread queer fan interpretation, with some fans seeing non-cishet undertones in its dramatic character dynamics.
Study-partners Ashley and Chris are very close friends with a secret, long-term mutual crush on each other. According to both Josh and the Companion App, they spend a large portion of their time together. Even so, both are afraid of confessing their feelings.
Hannibal did not feel anything about killing Abigail. He feels regret, yes, but not because he likes Abigail, he feels regret that he had to take away the chance of a child for Will. It is referenced many times in season 2 and 3 that Hannibal gave Will the chance to have a child.
Regular combat kills also provide buff for Abigail, but much shorter, like 1 or 2 seconds. Wendy attacking vex mob can extend buffs for a very short time, like 0.2 seconds.
