There is no law against association by age. Your parents might have rules to the contrary, in which case you will have to discuss the matter with them… but legally speaking, there's nothing prohibiting a relationship.
About the Federal Law
In the United States, 18 years old is the age of consent. It means that someone who is under the age of 18 cannot consent to sexual acts. While the federal government does not have a Romeo and Juliet Law, many individual states do.
There's no issue with the age gap. None whatsoever. There is a potential legal issue if your relationship includes sex. In the US the age of consent ranges from 16 to 18 so if it's higher than 16 you have to check whether or not your local law includes a “close in age” exemption.

"Half-your-age-plus-seven" rule
An often-asserted rule of thumb to determine whether an age difference is socially acceptable holds that a person should never date someone whose age is less than half their own plus seven years.
Five to seven years is generally an acceptable age difference. However, there's no single right answer here, as it depends on the situation. As long as both partners are consenting adults, there's nothing preventing you from dating someone significantly older or younger than you are.
