Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is a fantasy adventure based on the Marvel comic books. It has a fast-paced plot and a lot of special effects, but it also has some violence. It's best suited to older teenage and adult audiences, particularly fans of the Marvel franchise.
The Doctor Strange age rating of PG 13 probably comes from the violence. The language used in the film is pretty on par with other Marvel films. I did hear a couple of mild curse words, “a**hole” and “sh*t” twice, and that was about it.

But with a series that has been relatively tame in regards to the gore and the violence, Multiverse of Madness is definitely a change of pace for Marvel's franchise as a whole. So, what does that mean for kids? Apparently, the movie is frightening enough that kids are crying and being escorted out of the theater.
And even though Doctor Strange himself isn't a fan of horror, Cumberbatch confirmed there are plenty of jump scares and signature Raimi moments. “There's a lot of shock horror as this is a Sam Raimi film, in tone and execution,” Cumberbatch told Empire Middle East.
The “Doctor Strange” sequel hasn't released yet or been reviewed, but the film does contain a new gay character, America Chavez (Xochitl Gomez), who is likewise gay in the comic books.

In the film the character Chavez is a teenager from another planet who has the ability to move between dimensions by punching open gateways. The film also acknowledges that Chavez is gay, as in the comics.
Short answer, yes. But it depends how old your kids are. I took my 16-year-old Marvel-loving sister as my +1 to the screening and she admits she was looking off-screen during parts of the movie when she was scared.
6: All in all, I would say around 11 - 13 is perfect to play this game. But always remember your child's maturity level. You only have one childhood. A little green blood and cursing isnt going to do anything that bad.
Doctor Strange 2 is too scary to be rated PG-13. It's too violent. And scary. The film has plenty of gore in it, but some people argued that this rating is no different than what other movies have received.

The film is more infused with horror than it is a strict genre work, playing around with scares here and there while still plodding ahead through the more typical superhero fare. For better and worse, it still very much follows the Marvel formula.
