First, to answer a common question, there is no “unlimited alcohol” or “all you can drink” package onboard Disney Cruise ships. But you can find package discounts for purchasing multiple beverages at once.
In addition to the wine package there are several other drink packages for sale, including beer, cider, and even just bottled water or sodas. You can purchase the Wine Package and other drink packages via your Disney Cruise Navigator or your server in the first rotational dining restaurant.
The only limit on a drink package is that you may only order one drink per order, per drink package. If multiple people are ordering a drink with a drink package, the bartender or waiter may take each guests' SeaPass card to place the order. There are a few other drink package rules that you should be aware of as well.
How much are drinks on a cruise? On most cruise lines' ships, alcoholic drinks cost extra and incur an automatic 15 to 20 percent service fee. Soft drinks are included at no extra cost with meals, while additional charges apply for bar drinks, beer, wine and bottled water. There is no charge for soft drinks at the Beverage Station on Deck 9 of the Disney Magic and the Disney Wonder.
Disney Cruise Line Guests 21 years and older may bring a maximum of 2 bottles of unopened wine or champagne (no larger than 750 ml) or 6 beers (no larger than 12 ounces) on board at the beginning of the voyage and at each port of call. These beverages must be packed in carry-on (not checked) bags or luggage.
Holidaymakers on all-inclusive packages will no longer be offered unlimited booze by hotels as part of a raft of major changes. The new rules, which are part of a crackdown on health, safety and anti-social behaviour will now see the number of free alcoholic drinks handed out restricted.
To ensure the comfort of all guests, Disney Cruise Line does allow smoking onboard in designated areas. On the Disney Dream, you can smoke anytime on Deck 13 forward, on the port side near Currents Bar, or on Deck 12 aft, also on the port side in the outdoor area accessible through the Meridian Lounge.
