In Legends Han and Leia's children were Jacen, Jaina, and Anakin Solo. The twins Jacen and Jaina were by far the more popular and famous of the Solo children, first appearing in The Last Command, the final installment of Timothy Zahn's Thrawn Trilogy.
In the third installment, the 1993 novel The Last Command, he is born five minutes after his sister Jaina on Coruscant. The twins, and eventually their younger brother Anakin, were sent to live at various safe havens, under the protection of Leia's handmaiden, Winter.

Rey was almost revealed as a Kenobi in Star Wars, an idea that would have radically changed the entire sequel trilogy. Although Rey ended up being Palpatine's granddaughter, director J.J. Abrams also considered making her a descendant of Obi-Wan Kenobi, a popular fan theory since the beginning of the sequel trilogy.
In the Jedi Prince series of young-reader novels (1992–1993) by Paul and Hollace Davids, set about a year after Return of the Jedi, a three-eyed mutant named Triclops is revealed to be Palpatine's illegitimate son; he had a son named Ken, the titular "Jedi Prince".
