If your lumps last longer than two weeks, they may have been caused by congealed hyaluronic acid. Although this cause is rare and uncommon, this can be corrected by injecting hyaluronidase into the lump. Hyaluronidase, like hyaluronic acid, occurs naturally in the body and is used to dissolve filler when needed.
If you're unhappy with your appearance after treatment with dermal fillers, you need to notify your injector and reach out to a qualified plastic surgeon to perform the correction.
The effects of the fillers will wear off after months or years, but the treated area is likely to return to its original state. The benefits of both Botox and fillers will be gone and you'll notice that those lines and volume loss will come back.
In most cases, when the filler wears off, the face will return to its normal appearance. That means if you got the filler to eliminate wrinkles, they would reappear; the areas that experience volume loss will lose that volume again.
Treating with 1ml at a time is certainly appropriate for some areas, such as volumising lips or having smaller tweakments into other areas of the face. Sometimes, however, more than 1ml may be required – in the cheeks, for example – as 1ml may not make a discernible difference.

Even though the results of filler will be visible right away, migration can happen almost immediately, with a few days or weeks, or even up to years later in rare circumstances, depending on what the root cause of the issue is.
Like most things in life, dermal fillers do not last forever. You can keep your post-filler appearance by sticking to a regular touch-up schedule, but your filler will eventually disappear if left alone.
The FDA regulates dermal fillers as medical devices. As reported in clinical trials, the effects of most FDA-approved dermal fillers are temporary because they are made from materials that the body eventually breaks down and absorbs. The injection procedure may have to be repeated to maintain the desired effect.
Most of our patients visit us once every 6-12 months, but this isn't a hard-and-fast rule. If you get a very long-lasting filler and you take good care of your skin, you might need fewer appointments. On the other hand, people who have several facial areas treated often need to see us more frequently.
A bad cheek filler injection may cause persistent swelling or puffiness in the treated area. Individuals may also experience having a pillow face or sunset eyes which can result from overfilling the cheeks. It may also cause allergic reaction symptoms, facial asymmetry, infection, and skin discoloration.
Con: Potential Side Effects
Patients usually experience minor bruising for 24 hours to several days. Other symptoms include rashes, swelling, and potential infection. Over time, patients may feel the filler moving away from the desired area, or, although extremely rare, develop lumps under the skin.
These sensations usually subside within a few weeks. You'll get used to the added volume and won't pay much attention to it after a while. In the case of lip fillers, you probably won't feel them when you press your lips together.
How do fillers work? Fillers can change your face by filling your decreasing facial volume due to aging and facial expressions.
Swelling will reach its peak at around 24-72 hours after treatment, at which point, it will begin to gradually subside. Occasionally, swelling can last for 1-4 weeks, but this isn't as common. Most people do see an improvement within 3 days.
It is very common to have temporary lumpiness in the skin in the first few weeks after dermal filler. What usually happens is that it will integrate into the skin by about week 4.
If the lip filler lumps persist after two weeks, they can be evened out by injecting more filler around the lumps. Your injector can also use a small amount of hyaluronidase enzyme to dissolve lumps or to reverse the injections completely.
