To take a screenshot and save it in an email, use your device's built-in tools (like Win + Shift + S on Windows or Shift + Cmd + 4 on Mac) to capture the image, which often copies it to the clipboard, then paste it directly into your email body (Ctrl+V/Cmd+V) or use the "Insert" option in your email client to add it as an attachment, saving it first if pasting doesn't work.
Attach the screenshot to your email
Open your email account and create a new message. Click the paperclip icon to attach a file. Browse to where you saved the screenshot and select it. Add your recipient and any message, then click Send.

Depending on your phone: Press the Power and Volume down buttons at the same time. If that doesn't work, press and hold the Power button for a few seconds. Then tap Screenshot.

Use the 'Print Screen' button (PrtSc). You'll find it on the upper-right side of most keyboards (or next to the Space Bar on some). It will copy an image of your entire screen to the clipboard. You can then hit 'Ctrl + V' to paste it into a document.
Step 1: Open the email app and tap Compose. Step 2: Tap the Attach or Paperclip icon. Step 3: Select your image from Gallery or Files.
How to Drag and Drop Images. To insert an image, first, copy it using your preferred copy image method (e.g., in Windows, right-click on the image and select "copy image"). Next, insert your cursor within the body of the message and use your computer's paste command; the image will appear inside the email body.
Press Ctrl + PrtSc keys. The entire screen changes to gray including the open menu. Select Mode, or in earlier versions of Windows, select the arrow next to the New button. Select the kind of snip you want, and then select the area of the screen capture that you want to capture.
By default, Windows 11 saves every Win + PrtScn screenshot to your Pictures\Screenshots folder.
To capture the entire screen and save it as a file, press “Windows + Shift + S.” To take a screenshot of the active window and save it as a file, press “Alt + PrtScn.” To capture a specific region and save it as a file, press “Windows + Shift + S” and then select the area.
Insert a screenshot or screen clipping
Right-click your image. Hover over the Open With option and select photos. Select the Print icon. In the printer dropdown menu, select Microsoft Print to PDF.
