You know Allah might have forgiven you through signs like genuine remorse, a transformed life with increased good deeds (prayer, Quran, helping others), a strong desire to avoid sin, feeling peace/contentment, and continuous hope mixed with fear of returning to sin. The most crucial sign is your commitment to never repeating the sin, showing sincere repentance (Tawbah).
If you keep repeating your mistakes it means you are not forgiven but if you stop and have no desire to do that wrong thing again you can consider that Allah has accepted your repentance”. This demonstrates the fact that the true essence of repentance lies in never repeating the action again.
Avoiding Resentment
“The real sign of forgiveness is that you don't seek to punish the other — you seek the good of the other.” On this analogy, there can be both physical and emotional pain that lingers after the act of forgiveness. This pain in and of itself is not necessarily sinful.

How do we know God will forgive?

7 Steps of Forgiveness
In Mark 3:29 Jesus says that “whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven; they are guilty of an eternal sin.” Matthew's account adds that even blasphemy against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but not blasphemy against the Holy Spirit (Matthew 12:31–32).
