With your contributions to stopping the goblin rebellion, your character gets 100 house points, leading to an automatic win. In other words, by completing the main story, hitting level 34, and watching this final cutscene, you'll win the House Cup to celebrate your accomplishments during your playthrough.
Winning the House Cup in Hogwarts Legacy is the way to see the game's True Ending. Attending the Hogwarts House Cup Ceremony in Hogwarts Legacy is one of the only post main game quests. While the “ending” of the game may have come from vanquishing Ranrok and his Loyalists, the true ending is the House Cup Ceremony.
Gems can be earned by completing tasks in-game, but if anyone wants a serious supply of gems, they will need to break out their wallet. Ultimately, if players make sure they do well in their lessons and complete as many side quests as possible, they should have no trouble winning the House Cup at the end of the year.

House points are primarily awarded by making the right choices in the few classes you participate in. Likewise, other characters can answer questions as well, getting points for their house in the process.

Your character's house will automatically win the House Cup at the end of the game through The House Cup mission. This means that the points awarded to you by your professors throughout the course of the game are essentially pointless since the outcome will always be in your House's favor.

If you chose to 'keep it contained', opting for the 'good' ending, Professor Fig will still die. Although he survives the fight in this case, he will over-exert himself and pass away as you try to put the ancient power back in the Repository. Once you return to the castle, you can visit Sebastian in the Undercroft in the Defence Against the Dark Arts tower, and ask to learn about it. This is the same case with the rest of the Unforgivable Curses. If you decide to turn Sebastian in before you learn the curses, you will lose your ability to learn them.
Unfortunately, while you'll be able to use it in the arena, you won't have access to it anywhere else. So if you are looking for another chance to learn Avada Kedavra in Hogwarts Legacy, you can't really, but you can use it for a while at the Dark Arts Battle Arena.
