The 100ml rule for liquids
The main rule to remember is that you must not take any more than 100ml of a restricted liquid into the cabin of a plane, and those liquids should be placed into individual 100ml containers. Any liquid that you need more than 100ml of should be packed in your hold luggage.
Passengers are also unable to carry razors unless they are disposable. Electric razors are allowed. Cutting instruments are not allowed in carry-on bags; instead, you can travel with plastic cutlery and safety razors in your hand luggage.
Straight razors are not allowed on a plane in your carry on. The same goes for box cutters, safety razors that still have the blades on them, and any kind of razor blade not in a cartridge. If you want to travel with any of these types of razors, pack them in your checked luggage.
Disposable razors, replacement blades, and electric razors can go in either your carry-on or checked baggage; if you have a safety or straight razor, you can pack it in your carry-on — but you must remove the blades first and pack them in one of your checked bags.
Toothpaste is considered a liquid by the TSA (Transport Security Agency), even though it's technically a paste. In fact, all pastes, gels, waxes, and lotions are also classified as liquids. And even today, these substances are still restricted by the 3-1-1 rule in hand luggage due to safety threats.

So it is important to remember that all liquid, aerosol and gel items must be stored in containers 3.4 ounce or smaller. All of the 3.4 ounce containers must fit in a sealed 1-quart, clear plastic, zip-top bag, and only one plastic zip-top bag is permitted per passenger inside carry-on baggage.
