The restaurant advertised a deliberately unpleasant dining experience, and staff were instructed to insult customers throughout their meal. The restaurant's name came from the internet slang term Karen, used to describe an older white woman who is stereotypically rude.
Stick to the facts, don't get emotional: “If you can't come to a solution, calmly let [the Karen] know why. At this point, it's important to keep your head, explain the situation factually, not subjectively, and keep emotions in check so you don't poke the proverbial bear,” says Weller.
Guests can also expect to play games such as the 'Wheel of Misfortune' which is like truth or dare, as customers maybe be forced to stand in front of the restaurant and tell a joke or confess when you acted like a Karen. Or you will be forced to take a shot out of a mini toilet as part of the game.
The Menu is rated R by the MPAA for strong/disturbing violent content, language throughout and some sexual references. Violence: A man shoots himself in the head.
Kids can go to Karen's Diner, but their policy states that all children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

The appeal of a Karen's Diner is the ability to have playful argumentative banter with a rude server while knowing that it's not real, you're paying for the experience of bad service, not actual bad service. Know what I mean?
Karen's Diner first launched in October, 2021, off the back of viral 'Karen' memes. 'Karen' being a shorthand for a type of extremely entitled, middle-aged woman who kept cropping up in viral videos, acting aggressively (generally towards customer service people), and 'asking to speak to the manager'.
