Labour Day Western Australia 2017, 2018 and onwards

Labour Day Western Australia : First Monday in March

Labour Day in Western Australia is a public holiday on the first Monday in March: Monday 2 March 2026 and Monday 1 March 2027. The 2028 date is not yet confirmed: Western Australia publishes its 2028 public holidays when they are confirmed, and a bill that would change several Western Australian public holidays is before the state parliament. This page will show the 2028 date once it is official.

On this date people celebrate the improved economic and social conditions of workers in Western Australia and especially the achievement of a working day with a maximum of 8 hours. Labour Day is celebrated in all states and territories of Australia but on different dates and with different names. See Labour Day Australia for an overview.
