Easter Sunday 2014, 2015 and onwards

Christians in Australia celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ on Easter Sunday, also known as Pasch or Resurrection Day. The date of Easter Sunday is not fixed, it varies between 22 March and 25 April. The first Sunday after the first full moon occurring on or after the March equinox marks the date for Easter Sunday in Australia. Easter Sunday is a public holiday in every state and territory except Tasmania. In Tasmania it is not a public holiday under current law; a bill that would make it one has passed the Tasmanian Parliament and is awaiting Royal Assent.
